After Marshal Ed Masterson is gunned down in Dodge City, his brother Bat moves to Arizona in search of a better life while younger brother James decides to fill his fallen brother’s boots and become a lawman. In short order, James rises to the rank of town marshal, the same post Ed manned at the time of his death. But by 1881, James’ life is on a downward spiral. Dodge City’s newly elected mayor forces James out of office, and his former business partners are conspiring to kill him. When Bat receives word of James’ situation, he races back to Dodge City to protect his last living brother. Within moments of Bat’s arrival, a gunbattle breaks out on the dusty streets of Dodge City.
