James Garner, Vera Miles, and Robert Culp star in this comedy that’s great for the whole family. In the mid-19th century, a Texas cowboy named Lincoln Costain gets “shanghaied” and put on a ship headed to Hawaii. He jumps overboard and is saved by a 12-year-old boy named Booton MacAvoy. Booton brings him home and introduces Lincoln to his mother, Henrietta. While staying with them, Lincoln hatches a plan to help Henrietta transform her failing potato farm into a profitable cattle ranch. But first, Lincoln must turn the laid-back islanders into real cowboys, fight off the tricks of a local witch doctor, and outsmart a banker with plans to steal Henrietta’s farm.
