Behind the magic between Maureen O’Hara and John Wayne's on-screen chemistry is the real-life friendship between the two stars. Having already proved their allure was box office gold in The Quiet Man and The Wings of Eagles, the 1963 film McLintock! allowed Wayne and O’Hara yet again to surprise the audience with their fiery and unbreakable connection. A fan-favorite couple, this wouldn’t be the last time they worked together. In 1971, O’Hara and Wayne joined forces one more time for Big Jake.
