He was just an ordinary man like everyone else. Yet, on the day of Doniphon’s funeral, the renowned Senator Ransom Stoddard and his wife of 25 years, Hallie, arrive to pay their respects. Why would a distinguished senator travel hundreds of miles to attend the funeral of a simple rancher? One reporter wants to know … and Stoddard will finally reveal the truth about the infamous day the stagecoach he was on was attacked by the notorious outlaw, Liberty Valance.
