3 Godfathers (1948)

While fleeing from a posse in the desert, three outlaws, Robert Marmaduke Hightower, Pete “Pedro” Fuerte and William Kearney, known as “The Abilene Kid,” discover a dying woman, who begs them to honor her last wish—to get her newborn to safety.
Fun Fact
John Ford dedicated 3 Godfathers to Harry Carey, Sr., who died in 1947, and starred in two previous versions of the story, including a 1919 version, also directed by Ford, called Marked Men. Extra Fun Fact: 3 Godfathers stars Carey’s son.
