About
A man wrongfully accused of murder returns to his hometown years after surviving a near-lynching, still scarred from the rope burn on his neck. Given a mere three hours by the sheriff to prove his innocence before locals take matters into their own hands, he dives into old secrets, resentments, and dangerous alliances in a race against both the clock and the town’s vengeance.
Dana Andrews, Donna Reed, and Dianne Foster lead the cast, shaping a tense mystery built on personal betrayal and frontier justice. Director Alfred L. Werker and supporting actors Stephen Elliott, Richard Coogan, and James Westerfield help craft a taut, noir-shaded Western where time pressure defines every decision.
