Leading the cast is George Peppard, supported by Pernell Roberts and Belinda Montgomery, whose performances highlight the emotional and strategic pressures surrounding an undermanned fort. Additional turns by L.Q. Jones, Dana Elcar, and Bo Svenson built out a tense, character-driven Western that examines responsibility on both sides of an escalating cultural divide.
