After a Mexican bank heist goes wrong, Dad Longworth abandons his partner, Rio, and runs off with all the gold. Rio ends up in a Sonoran prison for five long years, where he plots his revenge. When Rio finally tracks Dad down in California, he learns that Dad is now a sheriff with a beautiful stepdaughter named Louisa. Soon, Rio falls in love with her—and things become dangerously complicated.
