Elizabeth Lassiter turns her sons into outlaws to free her other condemned son who is in jail. She vows to kidnap one Virginia City citizen a day until he is released. Little Joe happens to be one of those abducted.

Jim Hardie finds a woman wandering around, suffering from amnesia. He learns her name is Royal Maroon, an aspiring actress, who is a witness to a stagecoach robbery. He takes her back to the scene of the robbery in hopes she'll regain her memory.
