Marshal Matt Dillon helps fulfill the final wishes of an old gunfighter, Bodie Tatum. Tatum wants to reunite with the daughters he abandoned, and be buried in the town cemetery next to his wife. However, the townspeople bitterly oppose his request.

Kitty, along with another man, shoot and kill outlaw Jay Wrecken during a stagecoach stop on route back to Dodge City. Learning of the incident, the outlaw’s brother vows to seek revenge. Marshal Matt Dillon intervenes to protect Kitty.

A British couple, Leslie and Gillian Harwood, arrive from London to Virginia City to take over a ranch owned by their investment firm. However, they mistakenly arrive at the Ponderosa thinking it’s their ranch.

After Andy Tennis kills an unarmed gambler, Matt Dillon arrests him and puts him in jail. But, his gun-toting mom is determined to bust him out of jail. Matt Dillon is equally determined to see him tried and sentenced for his crime.

Colonel John Barrington escapes Fort Laramie after being found guilty during his court martial trial for the massacre at Wounded Knee. Barrington’s daughter takes Slim hostage but he escapes only to discover he must now negotiate with Sioux warriors.

A reporter from the East comes to town to do a story on the life of Jim Hardie. During Hardie’s early days he was a young drifter who nearly became an outlaw but ended up becoming one of the best special agents in the history of Wells Fargo.

The Army sends special agent Jim Hardie, along with a patrol to Mexico, to pick up prisoner Yaqui Kid and recover stolen Wells Fargo money. They face a long trek north through Yaqui country where their horses are stolen, and danger lies ahead.

After learning of his brother’s arrest by Marshal Matt Dillon, Jude Bonner, the leader of an outlaw gang known as the Dog Soldiers, takes Kitty hostage and brutally abuses her. Bonner later shoots and critically wounds her. Matt vows swift justice.

General Ira Cloninger, an old friend of the Cartwrights, is asked to run for governor. Ben backs him unaware that his friend is hiding an agenda involving the massacre of all Native Americans in the Nevada territory.

After thirty years a man comes back to the Valley to claim land promised to him by the late Tom Barkley, now the site of a proposed dam. The Barkley's argue among themselves and with the local landowners about whether the man is entitled to stay.

When cattleman George Lake is found dead, Slim is the prime suspect in the man’s murder given that Lake backed out of a cattle deal between the two earlier in Jackson City. Jess is Slim’s only hope to clear him of the murder by proving his innocence.

While Matt Dillon is out of town chasing horse thieves, Thad tries to save an Indian girl’s father from being hanged for a crime that he didn’t commit.

After Matt Dillon arrests a young outlaw named Billy for a robbery, he is confident that his older brother, Ed, will soon arrive and set him free.
