Ned Stevens still cringes at the thought of dating other women, even several years after his wife’s death. Ned has his eye on his neighbor, Carol, but his main focus is his only daughter, Liz, who is away at college.  But when Liz comes home from college for a visit, she brings her “good friend,” David, home to meet Ned, and his world gets turned upside down.

Tensions rise as David and Ned’s personalities clash, and Ned fights to accept that his daughter has fallen in love. While Ned attempts to sabotage their relationship, Liz diverts his attention to their neighbor, Carol. Both Liz and David work together to show Ned that with love, there are always second chances.
