The touching story about the true life of Loretta Claiborne, a world class athlete. Loretta, whom did not walk or talk until she was four, faced ridicule and humiliation while growing up.

Her hard-working mother, refuses to cater to Loretta’s shortcomings and instead nurtures her daughter’s fighting spirit.  Picked on at school and resented by her pretty older sister, Loretta sometimes resorts to using her fists in frustration. In grade school, a teacher encourages Loretta to excel in running, the one activity that brings her joy. 

She starts to win track meets and everything seems fine. But There are still many problems she faces as she goes on through life…
