INSP To Air Tribute To Southern Gospel Music Legend Dottie Rambo

Rambo passed early Sunday morning following a bus accident.

Indian Land, SC, May 13, 2008 – INSP – The Inspiration Network today announced that it will air the special “Inspiration Groundbreakers: The Dottie Rambo Story” on Saturday, May 17th at 8:00pm EST in honor of legendary Southern Gospel singer-songwriter Dottie Rambo, who passed early Sunday morning following a bus accident.

“Dottie Rambo was one of the greatest Southern Gospel artists in music history,” says Ron Shuping, Executive Vice-President of Programming for The Inspiration Networks. “Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and fans from all across the world. We hope that our viewers enjoy watching the tribute, and learning more about the life and ministry of this awesome woman of faith.”

Shuping said that the special program is a tribute to Rambo’s life and legacy, as one of the foremost performers and composers of Southern Gospel music of the past 50 years.
