Indian Land, SC – The Inspiration Networks today announced that it has promoted Marc Favaro to Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales. The announcement was made by Bill Airy, Chief Operating Officer. In this position, Favaro will be responsible for all long- and-short-form advertising sales and all programming sales for The Inspiration Networks. This includes INSP – The Inspiration Network, the digital lifestyle network Inspirational Life Television (i-Lifetv), the international network Inspiration Network International (INI) as well as advertising for the organization’s new media platforms (including Video On Demand). Favaro previously served as Senior Vice President, Ad Sales.
“Marc has had a tremendous impact on our organization since joining us in 2006,” said Airy. “He has a wealth of first-hand experience in all aspects of television and new media ad sales, and has a proven track record of success.
“He has interfaced with the largest agencies in the world and sold spots for local and national broadcast and cable. He is a pioneer in the sales for new technologies, such as broadband and VOD and was influential in our recent groundbreaking agreement with Rentrak for their TV Essentials linear measurement service. Going forward, his knowledge base will not only benefit us in advertising sales, but also in translating exciting opportunities to our ministry partners as well.”
Prior to joining The Inspiration Networks, Favaro was Senior Vice President, Managing Director at Ascent Media in Denver, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Holding Company, where he created its new media representation division. His responsibilities included working with America’s top national advertisers and agencies to integrate their brand message into television-based emerging technologies.
Favaro joined Ascent after successfully negotiating the asset merger of Inflection Point Media into Liberty Media/Ascent Media. He had been Chief Executive Officer for Inflection Point Media, the first rep firm devoted to selling interactive television and Video On Demand. From 2000-2003, Favaro was with AT&T Broadband, first as New Media and Director of National Advertising and then VP, National Advertising Sales. Previously, he was National Account Executive for Cablevision/CNI, Director of Unwired Network Television for Katz Television, and National Advertising Manager for TCI Media Services.
Favaro is a native of the Chicago area, and a graduate of Western Illinois University. He will continue to work out of The Inspiration Networks’ Denver office.
