The Inspiration Networks Denies Any Direct Relationship with “World Inspirational Network,” Vows to Protect Itself from Infringement
Responds to press statements by new IPTV service; will defend its legal right to the “inspirational” name and brand.
Indian Land, SC, December 10, 2010 –The Inspiration Networks announced today that it has no relationship with an organization calling itself the “World Inspirational Network” (WIN), and further that the organization has no legal right to the “Inspirational Network” name. Prior to reports in the media, the Inspiration Networks was unaware of WIN and its unauthorized use of Inspiration’s registered trademarks.
Dale Ardizzone, Executive Vice President, Business Affairs, and Chief Legal Counsel for The Inspiration Networks, said that this new organization does not have rights to use “inspirational” in association with its venture. “The Inspiration Networks has spent more than twenty years building and developing our distinctive ‘inspiration’ and ‘inspirational’ brands, which include our family of networks, programs, trademarks, and logos, and we will vigorously enforce our rights and oppose any individual or entity who attempts to infringe on them.”
Stories about the new IPTV service have been carried in a wide variety of media outlets, which alerted Inspiration to their claims.
